Gigahertz-Optik Introduces New Device

The three component LCRT-2005H-S, from Gigahertz-Optik, Amesbury, Massachusetts, consists of a transmitter, receiver and controller. The protective cover material of LCD screens, smartphone displays, laptops or tablets should offer a clear view of the information displayed while at the same time limiting glare from ambient light by minimizing transmission haze effects.

Gigahertz-Optik’s LCRT-2005H-S is an ideal portable measurement tool for examining and quantifying these optical material properties. The LCRT-2005H-S measures the spectral transmission of transparent materials according to CIE 130 and DIN 5036. Compared to its predecessor LCRT-2005-S, it offers an extended spectral range from 380 nm to 780 nm (previously 425 nm to 705 nm) and a transmission measurement range from 5% to 100%. It is also equipped with a light trap that enables spectral haze measurements according to ASTM D1003-13 to be carried out.

The device offers operating modes both as a mobile hand-held measuring device and as a wired remote-controlled unit that communicates with a PC.
